The common of the analog remote control terminal is connected inside the product to the positive or negative sense/load terminal or the enclosure (case).
The common connected to the positive polarity terminal is called the positive common and the common connected to the negative polarity terminal is called the negative common.
Mixing the respective products and connecting the common of positive and negative polarity will damage the product and cause it to fail.
Analog control can be made safer if the analog remote control terminal is galvanic isolated from the product output.
