Rackmount DC power supplies are designed to be installed on standard electronic equipment racks and can accommodate a wider range of use cases for several reasons. The first advantage programmable rackmount DC power supplies offer (compared to linear supplies) is that the more power they convert, the less space they seem to take. While it's not an explicitly inverse relationship between power and size, it's magnified compared to linear supplies that experience a significant size and heat dissipation increase with increased power needs. However, rackmount supplies manage to achieve a significantly higher power output range without a size increase.

While most benchtop power supplies (especially switching regulator types ) seek a more compact design, rackmount supplies focus on fully leveraging their fixed space. Matsusada offers ten different series of reliable rackmount DC power supplies, with power ranging from 0.75 kW (or 750 W) to 15 kW in a single unit and up to 120 kW in a package of several rackmount supplies packaged together, making the series highly scalable as per your needs. One of the reasons these power supplies can accommodate higher power outputs is that their form allows for easier implementation of master-slave control technology, which allows multiple units to work together seamlessly. Matsusada's rackmount DC power supplies can accommodate currents as high as 6,000 A. It can also accommodate high voltages, up to 1.5 kV, in both individual units and collective racks.
