High Voltage DC-DC Converters
A high-voltage DC-DC converter is an up-converter that boosts low-voltage DC to high-voltage DC. High voltage is also abbreviated as HV, and a high-voltage DC-DC converter is sometimes called an HV DC-DC Converter. DC-DC high voltage power supplies are HV power supply modules, also known as HV modules, PCB mount HV power supplies, board mount HV power supplies, or on-board HV power supplies.
There are two types of high-voltage DC-DC converters: regulated and proportional. In the regulated type, the input voltage is constant, and the output voltage is determined by the voltage at the control terminal. On the other hand, the I/O proportional type determines the output voltage in proportion to the input voltage. The regulate type is low noise, highly stable, and high performance. Proportional types are characterized by low cost. PCB mount HV DC-DC converter cases are available in metal or resin. The metal case is more effective in shielding noise.
For avalanche photodiode (APD), low-current and high-voltage power supply modules are available.
We also offer floating power supply modules with high voltage isolation performance (input/output high withstand voltage isolation) that can be used floating with a high voltage power supply.
