EFFICIENT FEATURES FOR EASY OPERATION OF HIGH POWER BATTERY TEST
CDPU series is a battery cycle tester that enables 200 W to 1250 W high power source and sink by one unit. Liquid crystal 5-digit meter that enables correct setting and reading of charge and discharge voltage and current values, dedicated test software* that collectively controls charge-discharge operation and various measurements, and battery temperature detection function by thermistor can simplify the single battery cell test for the high-capacity batteries for HEV, PHV, EV, and PEV whose demand is especially growing in recent years. Even if multiple cells are connected in series, the data of charge and discharge to/from each cell, voltage, current, and temperature data for each cell can be obtained (up to 250 V). This series is optimum for charge-discharge tests for various rechargeable batteries such as lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells, nickel hydride batteries, and lead batteries, and electric double-layer capacitors.
* Up to two channels are supported. The software that supports more channels is also available. For details, contact the sales representative.

Functions
Three charge modes
Constant current/Constant voltage(CC/CV) charge
By setting both of current value and voltage value, the output exceeds the value you set can be disabled.
Constant current (CC) charge
The charge is carried out at the current value you set. Even if the terminal voltage changes during charge, a constant current can be passed.
Constant voltage (CV) charge
The charge is carried out at the voltage value you set. Even if the charge current changes, the constant voltage can be applied.
Charge completion condition setting
Setting of time
The time can be set up to 999 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds by one-second unit. If the time reaches the setting time, the charge is completed.
Setting of voltage
Set the voltage value to complete the charge. If the terminal voltage of the battery reaches the setting value, the charge is completed (only at a constant current charge).
Setting of current
Set the current to complete the charge. If the current that is passed to the battery reaches the setting value, the charge is completed (only at a constant voltage charge).
Setting of-ΔV
For some batteries, the voltage increases when the charge is completed, and then the voltage decreases to complete the charge. The voltage reduction value at that time is measured and the charge is completed if the voltage decreases by -ΔV you set.
Setting of temperature Coming soon
When the external temperature, the discharge is completed. (External temperature protection is disabled when this setting is made.)
Three discharge modes
Constant current (CC) discharge
The discharge is carried out at the current value you set. Even if the terminal voltage changes during discharge, a constant current can be passed.
Constant power (CP) discharge
The discharge is carried out at the power value you set. If the terminal voltage changes during discharge, constant power can be consumed according to the change.
Constant resistance (CR) discharge
The discharge is carried out at the resistance value you set. The value of terminal voltage is measured and the current value for discharge is decided according to the setting value.
Discharge completion condition setting
Setting of time
The time can be set up to 999 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds by one-second unit. If the time reaches the setting time, the discharge is completed.
Setting of voltage
Set the voltage value to complete the discharge. If the terminal voltage of the battery reaches the setting value, the discharge is completed.
Setting of temperature Coming soon
When the external temperature, the discharge is completed. (External temperature protection is disabled when this setting is made.)
Battery temperature measurement function
The temperature of a battery is measured by the thermistor.
If the temperature becomes abnormal, charge and discharge is stopped in an urgent manner to protect the battery.
