This AC power source supports both space-saving and high-quality AC power output required in experiments, evaluation tests, production lines, etc.
In addition to its compactness, the DRJ series has adopted worldwide AC input, as well as having a universal outlet on the front panel, allowing users all over the world.
In addition, it delivers simple operability in a compact size, allowing first-timers to operate easily.
Now model with momentary interruption testing feature (option) is newly added to the lineup, which enables evaluating or testing the equipment with AC input during the immediate suspension of power and unstable input condition.
- Universal type outlet on the front panel
- Instantaneous power failure test for AC input devices (option)
- Three-phase AC output, single-phase three-wire AC output (option) in 2 units
APPLICATIONS
- For experiments
- For production lines

Note
DRJ series is not available to such applications where electric power is infused externally or regeneration to behavior is made. Therefore they are not suitable for such devices that "returning generated electric power to AC line" or "being connected directly to the commercial system".
In using the devices above, use our high-speed four-quadrant bipolar power sources with sink current function.
Functions
Compact
Since it is a bipolar power supply with a switching amplifier method, its volume is extremely compact at approximately 1/6 compared with the linear amplifier method. In addition, its compact design with only 5.5 inches (140 mm) width and approximately 5 kg weight allows it to be installed anywhere. The handle makes it easy to carry.
Wide Range of Output Voltage and Frequency
DRJ series can be used for various AC input devices. It is also capable of DC output, and thus, it can be used in various applications.
- AC output
- Voltage: 0 to 150 V/300 V, Frequency: 1 Hz to 550 Hz
- DC output
- Voltage: 0 to +212 V/-212 V/0 to +424 V/-424 V
Momentary Power Interruption Mode (-LPfl Option)
It is possible to conduct momentary power interruption testing of the AC Input devices simply.
It can reproduce situations where the AC Input line is unstable or momentary power interruption happens. Thus, the operating conditions of the AC Input device (tested device) can be checked under such an environment.
When the momentary power failure operation is needed in three-phase output, the model which is equipped with -LPfl option is necessary as the model to be in charge of phase U. Please refer to "Options".
Setting time of momentary power interruption
AC Output ON/OFF in accordance with The Input AC Supply ON/OFF (-LN Option)
This allows users to output state auto-recovery prevention (former: power failure protection) after input AC supply's recovery from stoppage without pressing the OUTPUT button on the front panel. Thus, remote re-activation without touching/accessing the power supply can be realized.
High Peak Current
DRJ series addresses 20 A peak current (in Lo range).
It can output up to four crest factors and is ideal for capacitor input load.
Universal Type Outlet
Power supply has the universal output outlet on the front panel so that various types of worldwide plugs can be used without adaptor. This helps users' global product development and testing work ever more conveniently and borderless.
Safety Functions
The DRJ series is equipped with a safety function to protect the power supply and connected load. For example, if an abnormal current flows, such as a short circuit, the output is immediately stopped. However, if a load with an inrush current is connected, the output may be stopped by the overcurrent protection function. In this case, use a product with a margin for output current or use the DRK series with a current limit function. Some loads have inrush currents that flow more than ten times the rated current.
Various Output Modes
- Three-phase output
- Single phase three-wire output
- Master/Slave
It is capable of three-phase output, single phase three-wire output and master/slave connection as options.
Three-phase output (OPTION)
It allows three-phase AC testing and evaluation even in locations where only a single phase 100 V/200 V is available. Its space-saving design with 5.51 inches/140 mm x 3 = 16.54 inches/420 mm width even when three-phase output is configured allows it to be used anywhere.
Single phase three-wire output (OPTION)
It is possible to implement testing and evaluation of single phase three-wire even in locations with only single phase power.
Master/Slave (OPTION)
If a power supply of a larger capacity is necessary, it can be used to construct up to 1 kVA by Master/slave connection. (A master unit is connected to a single slave unit.)

Single phase three-wire connection
A single-phase, three-wire output mode is available. Each unit can also be used as a single-phase output AC power source.
- It is possible to choose only one from (-L1p3wm, -L1p3ws), (-LPhu, -LPhv,-LPhw) or (-LMsm, -LMss). It is necessary to equip each power supply with every option.
- To use an interface option (-LUs1, -LGb, or -LGob), add only to the master unit (-L1p3wm, -LPhu, or -LMsm). It is not required for the slave unit.
- If the momentary power failure operation is needed in three-phase output, -LPhu optional model which is also equipped with -LPfl option is necessary. -LPhv or -LPhw optional models need not necessarily be equipped with the -LPfl option. However, when the momentary power failure operation is needed in single-phase output, that is, when one DRJ is used alone, the -LPfl option is necessary. Therefore, when DRJ may be used alone and asked for the momentary power failure operation, it is necessary to equip each DRJ with the -LPfl option.
- For high-accuracy tests and measurements, other models of Matsusada high-speed response bipolar power supplies and amplifiers are available.
- These options cannot be selected together.
