Bone mineral density (BMD) is the measurement of bone strength and is used to diagnose osteoporosis. Bones comprise calcium and minerals, but their density decreases with age. The measurement of bone mineral density using X-rays is called X-ray bone densitometry and is done using the DEXA method (dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry).
Matsusada Precision manufactures and sells X-ray generators and high-voltage power supplies used in bone densitometry and X-ray systems.
